GREEN by Adeline's
clothing is made from some of the most break-through
eco-fabrics available.
For the past several years, Adeline has been working
directly
with the
Chinese
textile
manufacturer, Baliso Industrial Co., Ltd., which
produces high-tech eco-fabrics such as TENCEL®,
Modal®, and Bamboo and Hemp fabrics. These fabrics
are manufactured from 100% organic materials such
as
cotton, hemp,
and wood and bamboo pulp through processes that reduce
environmental impact.
Other eco-fashion lines claim to use TENCEL® and
Modal®; however, you rarely see the actual brand
name tags attached to the clothing, and if you do,
it may only be a small amount that is being used.
After
a few washes these blends will begin to fall apart
or develop lent balls. GREEN by Adeline clothing
will stay true to their shape, design and luxurious
feel due to the high quality of fabrics and excellent
craftsmanship used in creating them.
- TENCEL® is
a non-synthetic fiber that is manufactured from
100% natural cellulose found in wood pulp that
has been harvested from tree farms. TENCEL® is
a lightweight, breathable fabric that feels like
silk and drapes luxuriously. Compared to cotton,
TENCEL® fabric is exceptionally strong, more
absorbent, and easier to maintain. The absorptive,
silky and soft flowing attributes of TENCEL® make
it perfect for bed linens, knits, woven fabrics
and even lightweight denim.
The pictures show how moisture is evenly absorbed by
TENCEL® due to the controlled and regular structure
of the nano-fibrils. And, what's more, man-made cellulose
fibers absorb 50%
more moisture than cotton.
Functionality is inherent to TENCEL®, since superior moisture transportation
is one of its fundamental properties. In addition, research has revealed that
85% of people tested with sensitive skin find TENCEL® more agreeable to
wear than other materials. (Dermatological tests on the skin compatibility of

- Modal®, often referred
to as "the new wonder fabric," is a unique blend of 100% natural beech
wood chips and modern microforms. Modal® fabric is softer than cotton
and has the luster of silk.
Modal® is infinitely washable. Even after repeated washing, the fiber
remains delightfully soft while retaining its color brilliance, unlike cotton
which can become stiff and dull. The smooth surface characteristics of the
Modal® fiber make it impossible for lime scum to be deposited on the textiles,
thus preventing fabric hardening after repeated washings. This "dry rigidity" in
fabrics is caused by the incrustation of the cotton after repeated washing.

LENZING MODAL® the
subjective softness factor leaves you with no doubts: Lenzing Modal® simply
feels softer |
| In a recent survey, 90% of consumers
questioned said that Lenzing Modal® quite simply feels softer
next to the skin than cotton. |
Because of its soft touch and visual appeal, Modal® is the ideal fabric for intimate apparel, loungewear, terrycloth and home textiles.

- TenShu® (Bamboo) fiber is manufactured from the
pulp of 100% naturally grown bamboo grass. For centuries bamboo has played
a significant role in Chinese culture, from medicine and agricuture to architecture
and clothing. Scientific studies done by the Japan Textile Inspection Association
have shown that the
antibacterial
attributes
of bamboo fibers kill 99.8% of bacteria, keeping clothes fresh and odor-free
for longer periods of time.
In comparison to cotton products, bamboo fabrics perform exceptionally well.
- Anti-bacteria: 3 times more effective than cotton
- Anti-static: 12 times more effective than cotton
- Hygroscopic: 60% improvement in comparison with cotton
- Deodorization: 30 % improvement in comparison with cotton
Studies have shown that even after fifty washes, bamboo fabrics retain their
anti-fungal, anti-bacterial nature, making them suitable for people with sensitive
skin. Fabrics made from bamboo are remarkably soft, breathable and highly
absorbent. Due
to its inherent qualities, bamboo fabric is excellent for use in active
wear, intimate apparel, loungewear and bed linens.
Because bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world, growing naturally
without the use of pesticides or fertilizers, it is extremely sustainable and
can be easily replenished.
